We are looking for companies to assist in the following areas:
WPGE Corporate Mentorship Program
The WPGE Corporate Mentorship Program was designed with the following goals in mind:
- Help women in the Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering become more knowledgeable about industry
- Explore concepts and trends in their chosen field
The WPGE Corporate Mentorship Program culminates with a reception where WPGE students present their findings as an outreach activity to explain concepts and excite kids about PGE. Corporate mentors and partners, faculty, staff and WPGE members are invited to participate in the culminating reception.
Outreach and Service
During the annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day and Explore UT events, WPGE provides various hands-on engineering activities for the young students that visit UT Austin. WPGE also reaches out to prospective and admitted students in collaboration with the Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering and the Women in Engineering Program to provide guidance and answer questions about the petroleum and geosystems field. Corporate partners are invited to join WPGE in various outreach and service opportunities throughout the school year.
EXPO Success and Career Strategies Panel
The EXPO Success and Career Strategies Panel will include a panel of faculty and corporate partners sharing tips on networking, other career strategy skills, and how to be successful at the EXPO career fair. The 90-minute session will include dinner, panel discussion, and networking time for WPGE members, corporate partners and participating faculty. A maximum of four corporate partnerships are available for this event.
